Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye disease where the final condition is an optic neuropathy, characterized by a progressive loss of retinal nerve fibers and changes to the appearance of the optic nerve.
Most of the patients affected by glaucoma do not present any symptoms in the early stages of the disease. Later stages of the disease present visual field defects and progressive loss of eyesight. The appearance of these symptoms may possibly mean that the disease is in an advanced stage.
